Meredith Price

Meredith Price

Three extreme facts about Meredith Price: she has jumped from a plane, back-packed through Europe, and is a law student. The last fact being the most overwhelming, scary, and exciting at the same time! This excitement has fueled the path of Meredith Price – the newest member of the R+A family.

Meredith is a law student at Mississippi College School of Law in Jackson, Mississippi. On any given day, you can find her attending a LSBA meeting, reading furiously for class in the Mississippi College Law Review or Moot Court offices, or clerking at R+A.  In her second year, Meredith has competed in several external competitions in preparation of becoming a well-rounded advocate for clients one day.  Also, Meredith is the Robertson + Associates employee of the year for 2011.

Meredith’s family is the starting point for her carpe diem lifestyle. A small town girl, she has attended the same church since birth and grew up the oldest of three girls in Remlap, Alabama. During high school, Meredith inherited her father’s love for music as she participated in several musical theater productions.  This love for music also led her to Birmingham-Southern College, a liberal arts institution. At BSC, her mother’s organizational qualities revealed themselves as Meredith became chapter president of Kappa Delta Sorority and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing and Public Relations.

Although she misses her Mawmaw’s famous home-cooked meals, Meredith has been just “one state over” in Mississippi since 2009. When she is not studying or clerking at R+A, Meredith can be found attending music festivals, reading a good book on the beach, or catching up on her favorite show Law and Order: SVU.

Carpe diem: “to seize the day.”

Through my entire divorce it has seemed like you understand exactly what I have been going through and that has been so helpful...
-- K.G.

This is not an easy letter to write. I consider myself fairly astute at putting pen to paper but there are not words enough to express my genuine heartfelt thanks for what you have done for me and for my future. Living 15 hours away created numerous obstacles in trying to hire an attorney that I knew I could trust...

I wanted to E-mail you two and let you know how much I appreciate everything that you guys have done for me. You both made my divorce so easy. I just want you to know how much I appreciate you and, I am so grateful for everything that you did. I think that both of you are GREAT!! I can't say thank you enough!
-- L.D.

I just wanted to thank you for all of your hard work in helping to finalize the child support settlement. I know that we got off from the wrong start, but I think that personal stressors contributed to my perception of your work (home-schooling, ex-husband, etc…). You did an excellent job, and I would highly recommend you to anyone seeking expert legal advice. L.C. is very lucky to have you, but I’m sure that he is already well aware of that.

Not the Same

It has been a while since I sat down to write a blog article.  Who would of thought being the executive director of a new,  Mississippi non-profit adoption agency would be so time consuming?  But I digress (more on that later)… I have a friend and client who is going through a divorce.  He is a great guy who made a few mistakes.  Actually, in the grand scheme of mistakes that a person can make in a marriage, his were relatively minor offenses, but his wife, a hard-charging, type-A personality, cannot stand that her perfect little idea of a life may not have a starched shirt and slick, silk tie.   I grieve for him, but I grieve for her just as much.   I want to reach out to her and tell her that if your idea of living is measured relationally to those around you as opposed to what springs from inside, inhabiting the spiritual realm, there will never be a sense of satisfaction, but what do I know, she is going through one divorce and I have been through about 500. READ MORE
