Get to Know Alicia

Alicia loves her life. Is it crazy? You bet! Would she change a thing? Absolutely not. She is super sweet… until she’s not.

Alicia’s first vocational calling was being a stay-at-home mom, raising four children with her husband Joe, an attorney with Watkins & Eager. She continues to believe that being a mom is the most noble of all callings, and has a special understanding of the complicated issues they face upon divorce.

Alicia was drawn to family law as she reentered law practice, and like Craig, trained under L.C. James and the members of his elite family law firm. What Alicia loves most about her job is helping both male and female clients find their voice. She is especially sensitive to fellow stay-home-moms, and encourages them to find their inner “Mama Bear.” Alicia allows God to use her life to serve Him and others. “To whom much is given, much is required.” Luke 12:48

Alicia has developed great organizational skills by juggling her family’s busy schedules as well as serving in various civic and church activities. Alicia loves to sing and she serves as President of the St. Anthony Advisory Council. She is also the auction co-chair of St. Joseph Catholic School’s Annual Drawdown.

Alicia is a graduate of Ole Miss (1994), Millsaps College (1991) and married Joe in 1992. She is a member of the Mississippi Bar and its Family Law Section and currently serves on the Advisory Council of the Mississippi Volunteer Lawyer’s Project. She was recently chosen as a member of the prestigious Charles Clark Inns of Court, an organization of lawyers and judges in the Jackson area.

On the evenings and weekends, you are likely to find Alicia and Joe on the soccer field. Joe coaches, and Alicia cheers. Don’t be surprised if you see her doing cartwheels across the field… whatever it takes to inspire the team! She takes this same enthusiastic approach to the practice of law. The Baladi family has extremely strong values and a great work ethic- just ask anyone who participates in the annual sandcastle contest held by the Mississippi Bar. They are a well-oiled machine.
