Lee Smith, Counselor

Lee Smith attended Delta State University where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. He also earned a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy at Mississippi College. Lee specializes in men’s issues, and feels a specific calling to work with those who struggle in the area of sexual addiction. Lee also works in the areas of anxiety and depression, as well as adolescent issues.

Lee desires to see all men live their lives free from addiction and to discover their identity in Christ. God called all men to live lives of freedom and adventure. Sadly, the pornography industry last year brought in more money than that of the National Football League, National Basketball Association and Major League Baseball combined. What started out for many men as a temporary escape from the burdens of daily reality, turned into a road of addiction that seems to have no off ramp.

Lee also understands the impact that anxiety and depression can have upon someone’s life. Having experienced the effects of anxiety and depression in his own family, Lee has witnessed that “abundant living” is possible again.

Through my entire divorce it has seemed like you understand exactly what I have been going through and that has been so helpful...
-- K.G.

This is not an easy letter to write. I consider myself fairly astute at putting pen to paper but there are not words enough to express my genuine heartfelt thanks for what you have done for me and for my future. Living 15 hours away created numerous obstacles in trying to hire an attorney that I knew I could trust...
-- S.S.

I wanted to E-mail you two and let you know how much I appreciate everything that you guys have done for me. You both made my divorce so easy. I just want you to know how much I appreciate you and, I am so grateful for everything that you did. I think that both of you are GREAT!! I can't say thank you enough!
-- L.D.

I just wanted to thank you for all of your hard work in helping to finalize the child support settlement. I know that we got off from the wrong start, but I think that personal stressors contributed to my perception of your work (home-schooling, ex-husband, etc…). You did an excellent job, and I would highly recommend you to anyone seeking expert legal advice. L.C. is very lucky to have you, but I’m sure that he is already well aware of that.

Not the Same

It has been a while since I sat down to write a blog article.  Who would of thought being the executive director of a new,  Mississippi non-profit adoption agency would be so time consuming?  But I digress (more on that later)… I have a friend and client who is going through a divorce.  He is a great guy who made a few mistakes.  Actually, in the grand scheme of mistakes that a person can make in a marriage, his were relatively minor offenses, but his wife, a hard-charging, type-A personality, cannot stand that her perfect little idea of a life may not have a starched shirt and slick, silk tie.   I grieve for him, but I grieve for her just as much.   I want to reach out to her and tell her that if your idea of living is measured relationally to those around you as opposed to what springs from inside, inhabiting the spiritual realm, there will never be a sense of satisfaction, but what do I know, she is going through one divorce and I have been through about 500. READ MORE
